But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with
wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

“The Lord heals, He heals completely and it doesn’t take years. By His power, grace and mercy YOU can find your total healing and freedom in Christ Jesus – sometimes you just need a bit of help. Kim West has a heart to see people delivered and set free and has helped hundreds do so. She has a Master of Divinity and a PhD in Clinical Counseling but, more importantly, she is one who has personally experienced her own healing and freedom from the Lord. She understands what you are going through AND knows how to get you through it in Christ. “

ASK, YEILD & SURRENDER
Is He not able to supply you with peace? Is He not able to give you the comfort,
affection and attention you need? Ask for comfort, ask for peace, ask for Him to
give you strength in whatever situation you’re in, ASK for what you NEED. ASK NOW,
not after you’ve stewed or mulled it in your mind for quite some time, thinking of
every other avenue and option you have. Stop NOW, TURN AND ASK.
Run to the Lord
Find quiet time before him, away from all distractions.
ASK HIM: “LORD, I feel________________and don’t know why. WHAT is going on in my
life, why am I feeling like this and show me what you want me to do”.
Or if you KNOW what He’s putting a finger on: “LORD, I know that I have sinned by
________________________(name it: my hidden pride and focus on myself, my anger and
bitterness at_____, my coveting of________, self centeredness, pride and boasting,
lying, gossip and evil thoughts of another, etc.....) and I renounce my sin and ask
that you take back all the ground that I gave the enemy thorough my sin as I yield
it to your throne, to your control. Thank you for your Forgiveness & mercy and I
ask that put your joy & peace in my heart.
Then spend time LISTENING: either in that same chair for a while, or listening for
His “still small voice” throughout the day. REST in knowing you are heard and knowing
that He WILL REVEAL whatever He wants to you! Be ready to receive it, thank Him
ahead of time and praise Him but most of all, do whatever it takes to DROP IT IN
HIS LAP and not pick it up again. When you find yourself worrying or fretting about
it, say “Jesus conquers, Jesus Saves! I trust in YOU Lord, for all things!”, and
find other things to occupy your time, doing this again whenever you find yourself
thinking about it.
If you need to find time for YOU: a bubble bath; a walk outdoors; a hobby or sport
you enjoy; a good book; a nice dinner or whatever it is that you enjoy, do it, but
wait on Him.
When He shows you what He wants to touch: give attention to it and ask HIM to “do
the work”, whether it’s a change in your heart that He’s asking you to make...or
facing a terrible memory of abuse when you were younger, know that He will WALK YOU
THROUGH IT, give you POWER to do whatever HE wants to do so ASK FOR WHAT YOU THINK
YOU NEED: healing; grace; mercy; strength; peace; HIS VIEW of something; HIS DIRECTION
or whatever it is you think He is trying to do in your life, ask and yield it to
You’re not doing well and you don’t know why. Things that never bothered you
do ...people you love irritate you, or you don’t feel like joining into their activity
or even want to put one moment of thought to what they’re are doing...you struggle
with feelings of depression or sadness but cannot think of why ...everything seems
to be closing in on you and all you do is feel a desire to either be alone or go
back to bed for the day...
You are not crazy...nor are you alone for we ALL go through times like this.
If someone asked us what we’re feeling, we may not be able to say why we feel like
this and no one incident comes to mind even though most of us would probably try
to find things that we THINK we’re upset with, but for the most part we’re confused.
Does any of this feel familiar? If not, then you WILL feel like this the more
in touch with your feelings and what the Lord is doing in your heart and in your
life. We’re going to address what to do in moments like the ones mentioned above
and we’re even going to address the times when you DO know “why” you’re upset - because
the “solution” is much the same as when you DON’T know what’s going on.
Here are several things to watch for:
This is an uneasy feeling, something feels not right and you can’t put your
finger on it. This will be exhibited in as many different ways as people are different
but the main issue is that you just don’t know what’s going on or why you’re feeling
the way you are.
It could be from external circumstances such as life circumstances changing
or from something interrupting your routine or schedule. It could also be the Lord
putting His FINGER on one part of your life, trying to get your attention to something
that He is wanting to work on with you and you have been resistant without even knowing
It could be a MILLION things but all you feel is “stirred up”. Before you run
to try to “fix” anything or look for a REASON why you feel the way you do, which
can cause you to lash out at others or jump to conclusions about other circumstances,
remember that we do not fix ourselves and that only the Lord knows what is really
going on so it’s best to go to the “Master Surgeon” and find out what HE wants to
control and maybe other sins could be added then to the “pot that’s already boiling”.
This is where you start to get irritated at others or yourself, trying to find
some blame to place what you’re feeling but in essence, you know you’re not in right
thinking with where you should be or you know you’ve done something that you should
not have done, like yell at someone you loved just now. You’re feeling convicted
by your own actions but may feel unable to stop what’s going on inside your emotions.
He may be putting His finger on a bad habit or behavior, or He may be trying
to show you an obvious sin that you are in bondage to. Either way, that can stir
us up and if we dig our heals in on this conviction from Him, we will only make things
worse, for ourselves and others.
You still may not know WHY you acted the way you did but you know you did something
wrong and the EASIEST way to get rid of the guilt that comes with that is to repent
and renounce it, as SOON AS POSSIBLE. You may not know how to fix it, or what to
change but that’s ok as the Lord can get at that once you surrender this situation
to Him and ask HIM what HE wants to do about it.
The LONGER YOU WAIT TO “TURN AND SURRENDER”, the Longer you will feel just as awful
as you’re already feeling.
Either way, your feelings are hurt or your anger is stirring up, and you’re
starting to think of yourself and how you feel, how you’ve been offended, and then
you may go down the spiral of thinking “this should not be, I deserve more”....etc.
This is another good time to STOP, turn to the Lord and surrender, before it
ruins your day, before you fall into sin, before your emotions go beyond your
This is where you KNOW what’s stirring you up and it’s usually something that
happened to offend or hurt you. It can be a rude comment that someone made to you,
hurting your feelings, or a slight by another. It can also come by a rude driver
on the highway or a sales clerk at the grocery store.
You also may have experienced a set back in some way whether it’s a flat tire
on the way home or something else is just not going as smoothly as you think it should.
