But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)

Heavenly Father, I come before you in total surrender. I acknowledge you as Lord over my life and I will yield up all the honor due you. I bow down to you as having authority over my life, as my Lord and Master but also my Friend and my First Love.
Let me enter into your gates with thanksgiving and Praises. Teach me how to come more often and to turn to you at all times. Teach me to come deeper and show me what it is that you wish that I would bring as an offering or surrender.
I want MORE of you, Lord Jesus and I thank you that I can come whenever I want and you will hear me. Work in me, move in me, do your Will in my life and I will give you all of the praise and honor due you. In Jesus name I ask this, Amen.
HOW do you respond?
Don't let anyone pull you into a legalistic argument on whether we are to kneel, bow, stand or lay prostrate before the throne. Some things are dictated out of respect for what service we are attending and what is asked but scripturally speaking, you need to do whatever is on your conscious (depending on your physical limitations) so humble yourself in honor before the King of King and Lord of Lords who is worthy of all the respect due him.
(Philippians 2:10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Revelation 4:8)
Assume the Position.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (Psalm 95:6)
Meditation, submission, honor, supplication, intercession, because of his power and glory, ...bow, kneel, stand...or prostrated and laid out on the floor, whatever you need to do to focus totally on God is what you need to do, alone or with others, just do it! You WILL be blessed! Beyond MEASURE You will be blessed when you honor him or surrender, ask for another or acknowledge Him.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:6)
Into His Presence...
THIS IS WHERE WE ARE IN HIS PRESENCE...you cannot come into His presence without coming out of your OWN! If God is spirit, not flesh...then we have to get out of our flesh and go into the spirit to MEET with God. So shut out the rest of the world, go into your prayer closet or on your bed or on your living room floor, do whatever it takes to get yourself before Him, as often as you can.
Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For
he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:9-

The #1 Breathing Position
The “lucky” Atheist
“WOW!” I said, trying not to sound too sarcastic but as genuinely sincere as I could sound, “You are REALLY LUCKY” I told the gentleman. With a shocked expression on his face, the self proclaimed atheist responded “What....do...you mean, 'lucky'? Why would you say THAT?”
“Well”, I continued, gently mocking, OK, maybe chiding, stepping as carefully yet as assuredly as I could; “ you are REALLY LUCKY to have life all sowed up...to. You know, have all the answers ...and have your life totally figured out, beginning to end... and yet to have all the power in your life to not even NEED a 'God'! That's pretty remarkable. I couldn't do it!” I shared some of my story as I continued, sharing about my daughter with 6 diseases, and all of the times we've been in the ER, not knowing sometimes if she was even going to make it.
I shared other major life issues as well and said; “I couldn't do it on my own, I could not CONTROL any of this and the only way I could survive and not crumble into DUST was receiving power and grace and comfort from the Living God, the throne was the only place I could actually BREATH!”
I'm not sure what impact I had on this young man. I hadn't intended to pour
out like that but it was the first thing that came out of my mouth as I fought daily
for every breath that I could take. He kept that wide-
It's something my sister Debbie wrote to me during a really dark time in my life. When I first read it, this heat seemed to go right through my body as I let out a sort of giggle. I immediately FELT refreshed. It seemed to give me permission to breath, to slow down, to STOP and think about where I really am, where I am standing with the Lord and positioning myself; either on firm ground, resting on His truths; on shaky ground, about to get tossed in whichever direction the wind was blowing.
When I think of taking a big breath in, peace seems to come flooding in with that and I also think of slowing down.
My #1 Breathing Position
I know that I am not the only one who has gone through trials, gone through the fire, and I know that I'm going to go through MORE as I survive another day on this earth. I wanted to do more than survive, I wanted to find a place in the Lord where I would be surrounded in peace no matter WHAT was going on in my life.
I am not apologetic in the belief that there is only ONE source of power and that comes from the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe me when I say that as a human, I also have tried everything in the way of getting help for my anxiety, and for the way I coped with what was going on around me. I tried drinking, drugs, promiscuity and partying, stuffing myself with food...and when those routes didn't help, I tried psychoanalysis and therapists. then, as a Christian; counseling, ministry programs, but the only thing that has worked is to get before the throne on my knees!
It is the only place I can BREATH!
When I say that, I mean that quite literally as I fought for breath many times in my life, especially as circumstances seemed too overwhelming to bear in this human form. Life sometimes can jump up and threaten to choke me and before I know it, I'm “down for the count” again.
And no matter how many times I have received from the Lord, received mercy and grace and comfort, strength and assurances, I STILL get tripped up and go back into my self, but I know that as soon as I bow, acknowledge His authority and receive His power, I'm doing better.
When, What Where & How.
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts. (Psalm 96:8)
I know that just bringing a yielded heart, ready for Him to mold into what HE wants, and letting go of my own agenda, is an “offering”. The “altar” is where we are “altered” and that is anyplace that you choose to come to the Lord, not just in your church but ANYWHERE. The alter is where we sacrifice and all He wants is YOU...and what He doesn't want is all that is NOT you or what He's asked you to carry, to bear, to go through.
and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.(Deuteronomy 6:7)
I know we're supposed to come at ALL times, no matter what I'm doing. We're told to pray at all times and in all occasions:
with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints: (Ephesians 6:18)
and if I can pray with another, it's a DOUBLE BLESSING:
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20)
and do we need to ask “why”?
Because we love Him, because He is worthy of all praise, honor, because He loves US, and because He told us to, (Ex. 34; Phil. 1:20–21; Rev. 4:8, 11; 5:9–12; 14:6–7, Rom. 12; 14:18; 15:16; Eph. 5:10; Phil. 1:11; 4:18; 1 Tim. 2:3; 5:4; 1 Pet. 2:20; Heb. 13:15, 16). If it is good enough for the Angels, it's good enough for you.
The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!" (Revelation 4:8)
