Into His Presence #1:  There is
                   SO MUCH MORE!

SO the first step is to decide IF you want to go deeper...and what kind of time are you willing to give up out of your very busy schedule.  The amount of time that you give to the Lord shows Him exactly how much that you WANT more of HIM!  HOW MUCH do we love Him when we simply attend church on Sundays and, perhaps,  pick up His word once a week or once a month, if that?  HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE HIM?!

“But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.”  Psalm 59:16)

Step 2:) Go to Him Before the cares of the day
        steal your peace

I enter into praise and prayer first thing in the morning.  I found that when I do this first thing before fully awake,  BEFORE the cares of my day start to fight for my attention, I can enter into His manifest presence deeper and richer than when I wait till later.  For some reason, it seems that my conscious mind is not fully functioning when I first wake up and this allows the Lord easier access to it.

“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”  (Proverbs 8:17)

Many times, when I thought I was drifting back off to sleep, the Lord used that time for revealing truths to me in visions, whispering to me the meanings as I “came to”.  My mind was filled with visuals that didn't quite make sense until He “put the words to the story”.  He always ministered to what I was going through, to the exact area that I needed encouragement and ministry to!

If I wait until after breakfast or some other activities like putting a load of laundry in the washer, or checking email,  I am lost in the “worries of the day” , the things I have to accomplish, etc, and find it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to stop the “train that has already left the station”.

Sometimes I find myself waking up thinking about an issue or errand I have to take care of in this new day, before I even REALIZE it or plan it, it just overtakes me. All the MORE reason that I need to get before the Lord and reach out for more of His peace, His wisdom, direction, encouragement and love, for I am already in the “danger zone” of worry and strife if it is interrupting my sleep & rest.

Step 3:) Build your camp / support system.

“Even as my mind must attend to the things of daily life, Lord, my citizenship is in Heaven with you, and I will continually seek your Face. I actively choose to pursue your presence and I refuse to dwell anywhere else.  I cannot dwell in two places at once, and I refuse to dwell anywhere else but in the presence of my God. SO help me, Lord, to put aside all that is in the way of this choice and guide me.”

“Lord Jesus, I am willing to lay down my life for you.  I bow down to your authority over my life, over my schedule, over my family, over my “rights”, my ideals and my dreams! “

“Help me Lord Jesus, for you know all of the worries and cares I have.  You know, Lord, the things 'on my plate', all that I have to get done and my responsibilities.  Create for me a time to commune with you and show it to me clearly and guide me into it, giving me courage, peace and a deep burning desire for more and more of you.”

“I want to go so much deeper into my relationship with you and I repent now of anything that I have put before you and my time with you.  I love you Lord and I want MORE. I want to get lost in you. I want you to be number one in my life and I know that my time and schedule has to reflect that, aside from my actions and my heart.”

“Show me mercy and grace Lord, as I work out setting this time aside for you, and show me HOW to come before you in a way that would honor and bless you.  Give me radical faith, Lord and feed whatever seed of hunger I have in my heart.  I want to hear your voice!  I want to see your FACE! Help me to bow before you and stay there ' until I receive the blessing'. Teach me!”

“I surrender my very breath, my cares and my worries. I surrender all my pain and hurt!   I repent of my hidden pride and focus of myself and take that ground from the enemy that I gave so freely and I yield that ground back to YOU Lord Jesus!    I will give you ALL THE GLORY, Lord Jesus.  Thank you for hearing me, for caring and loving me beyond words.  I am yours!”

4 Steps into His presence

“You can walk in the garden anytime you want.”

It was pitch dark, I could see nothing, and it seemed as if the surroundings drifted into eternity on all sides, below and above me.  I wasn't afraid.  Ahead of me was something all lit up but it was too small to see and it seemed to float in the darkness,  the bright light getting bigger and bigger.  As I drew closer it appeared to be some sort of box...but's not a box it's a small square lot with a white picket fence around it, with warm light shining upon it but from a source I could not see.

Filled with a sense of wonder, I approached it to see what was inside the fence, but right before I reached it, a gate seemed to open up in front of me, and more light seemed to radiate from what was inside.  It was filled with flowers, all kinds of beautiful flowers, much like a garden but more brilliant than anything I has ever seen.  Light seemed to radiate from the flowers which almost seemed translucent and “moving”, as if the color shifted like the Northern Lights.

You can walk with Him in the Garden!

As I was about to walk through the opening in the fence,  I heard a voice that said; “Just like Adam, you can walk in the garden with me, any time you want ...The Fall did not take this privilege away from my children.”

This revelation opened the door to a whole new life for me.  I was “hungry”, I mean REALLY hungry, and found nothing of the “world” to comfort me.  I wanted SO MUCH MORE!  He had just promised me “MORE”, and for months afterward I surrendered totally, asking the Holy Spirit to come fully and take control.  All I could hear myself saying, like a glazed-eyed teenager in love, was; “THERE IS SO MUCH MORE! SO MUCH MORE!!!!”

I'm sure at times I looked like the village idiot as sisters-in-the Lord would look at me as if I had finally gone off the deep end.  They didn't know what to make of it...but others would have this slow smile start at the corners of their mouth and their eyes had this knowing look, as if to say; “ok...she's on board, she finally gets it”.  And then OTHERS would get wide eyed and take a long deep breath in, and I could tell that they were hungry too: Hungry for more hope; hungry for more of Him;  hungry for MORE!

It is possible to live in the uninterrupted presence of God!

Is it possible to actually live our earthly lives in the uninterrupted presence of God?   The Word of God promises that such a place exists and is attainable in this life, here and now. God has prepared a place where the knowledge of His goodness constantly flows to those who fear and trust Him here on earth: “ in the presence of the sons of men”.  He has prepared and made available to us a secret, hidden place in the Spirit, where the Lord Himself actively 'keeps' them, revealing to them ever deepening levels of His glorious presence.

Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men! In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.  (Psalm 31:19-20)

...From Glory to Glory....”

When Moses would enter into the manifest Presence of the Lord, the glory of the Lord would remain visibly on his face to the point where it shone with supernatural light.  Though the witness of God's accompanying presence went with Israel day and night, in the form of a cloud by day and a fire at night, (Ex. 13:21), Israel only saw the Lord's glory second hand, reflected on the face of Moses.  The radiance was more than they could bear, causing Moses to veil his face because of their terror. Even with a mediator such as Moses, the descendants of Adam remained separated from the presence of God, unable to seek His face.

But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

And through Christ Jesus, that veil is taken away from us, with 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 telling us that we won't have to hide like Moses did, under a veil, that this ministry of the Spirit will EXCEED in glory what Moses saw, which was “passing away”.  It says that we have much more boldness of speech,  and that when one turns to the Lord, the veil is lifted.  We are being transformed from glory to glory..into the same image of Him who we gaze upon:

But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Who wants MORE GLORY?

The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;  (John 17:22)

How Hungry Are You?

Can you identify with my confession when I say that I stop to skim through every magazine I come into contact with for articles on the newest diet or pill to help one loose weight?  I’m also a “recipe clipper”, unable to stop and never following through to any organizational system, hence, not using that which I “liberated”.

Maybe YOUR “vice” is articles on the fastest way to make money, or maybe on the newest exercise routine to make your workouts more effective, or really, it can be ANY offer of the promise of success in an area that interests you. Like me, maybe you've tried some of the options available, but have found that there ARE no “easy answers”, no easy ways, at least not without hard work.

What do you want?!

Do you really, REALLY WANT MORE?! Are you  as hungry for His fellowship as He is for yours? Do you passionately pursue His presence with relentless abandon and determined resolve? God's grace and mercy is SO HUGE towards us that He gives us much that we DO NOT DESERVE!  There is NOTHING that we  really deserve by anything we do but we receive much because we belong to Him...but it is important to you that you understand that there is MORE!

But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."  (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Anyone who touched His garment were made whole.

When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick, and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.  (Matthew 14:34-36)

We can touch the fringe of His cloak when we reach out. Jesus never said “No” when asked for healing. All we have to do is reach out!  All we have to do is “receive” what He has promised.

In Matthew 9:18-29 there is another story of a woman who knew that if she just touched the hem of his cloak, that she would be made well.  Jesus said; “Daughter, Cheer up, it is your FAITH that has made you well”.  His cloak wasn't magic, even though power went out of Him all the time, Jesus says it's because of her FAITH that she received Healing. Come touch His Cloak and RECEIVE healing..and everything else that He has just for you, everything that the Father has planned for you since the beginning of time.

The River of Blessings flow deep!

The river of blessings that flow out of the temple in Ezekiel 47 goes deeper and deeper: from ankle knee waste deep, etc.  And then the river went so deep that you cannot cross it but you can swim in it! Verse 9 says: “so where the river flows, everything will live”.

 Are you getting this?

The fruit trees on both sides of the river of blessings (remember what Jesus said about fruit and being also attached to Him as a vine that will whither when it is not attached to the vine? - John 15:4-16 ), their leaves will not whither nor their fruit fall but they will bear each month because “water from the temple flows to them” and understand this; Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.(vs 12)

HEALING?! That's why we're here at this site, right? Oh how I LOVE that word and how clear God's word is to show us how we too can get it!  If you want more of His word on HEALING, then go here: “HEALING PROMISES” and learn how to claim them through our “Power Tools” throughout the site.

If your devotion is shallow, your walk will be shallow...the deeper your devotion, the deeper your walk!

...and What Are You Willing to Give Up?

God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1)

If it's good enough for Abraham...

And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD” (Genesis 19:27)

If it's good enough for Moses...

God told Moses to confront Pharaoh “early in the morning” and say to “let my people go!”  (Exodus 7:15 & 8:20)  God also told Moses go up to the mountain and present himself “early in the morning” (exodus 34:2-4) and we all know what He came down the mountain with, right?  SO MUCH was done in the morning: journeys were started (1 Sam 29:11, 2 Chronicles 20:20 to name a couple) ; Sacrifices were given (1 Kings 16:15, Job 1:5); petitions made (Exodus 8:20 & 9:13)

And It was good enough for Jesus...

“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.” (Mark 1:35)

“All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.”(Luke 21:38)

It should be good enough for us;

“Yahweh, in the morning you shall hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.”  (Psalm 5:3)

“Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”  (Psalm 143:8)

Blessings in the Morning...

“Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”  (Psalm 90:14)

In Samuel 1, Hannah had been asking for a son for a very long time, going to the temple with her husband year after year.  She wept bitterly and continued to cry out to the Lord.  She even prayed in such a way that the the priest Eli thought she was intoxicated!

Hannah made the promise of a sacrifice, that she would give her son to God if only He would bless her with one.  After Eli told her to go out in peace, saying “may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked for, she went home, got up “EARLY IN THE MORNING” and “WORSHIPPED THE LORD” and then the Lord “remembered her” and she conceived.

I know we don't like waiting for things, and even Hannah had to wait as she conceived “over the course of time” (1 Samuel 1:20) but God is faithful, He knows the desires of your heart, He sees your tears and knows exactly how much you've suffered and He is faithful.  It's about time that WE are faithful in return for the graciousness He has bestowed upon us, day after day, hour after hour!

“But to you, Yahweh, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.”  (Psalm 88:13)

Step 1:)  Decide HOW MUCH do you WANT?!

If you find yourself longing desperately for this type of commitment but are unable to find the discipline, I highly encourage you to find a prayer partner (or a good friend) who will encourage you, hold you accountable, pray for you, AND WITH you.  Ask the Lord for HIS timing for you as He knows better than you do about all that is on your plate, in your heart, ability and desire.  He can give you strength and open doors for you, giving you so much of Him that you will find yourself coveting and protecting this time with Him at all costs. (Build Your Camp)

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;” (Psalm 63:1)

Step 4:) Do what you need to do
                          (Thank you Lord, For GRACE)

So be prayerful about even this very first step.  Give yourself grace for not “jumping on the bandwagon” upon reading this, and in fact, give yourself grace if it takes months or years before you can get to this stage.  You may not be desperate enough, hungry enough or you may believe you can find “another way”.  Simply do whatever it takes for you to move forward in your own time, and receive the healing you're looking for.  If that isn't successful initially, you can come back to this point of surrender.

Where do YOU choose to abide?

The true church must become free of the lie that she can love the world and remain spiritually alive.  It is crucial we cease trying to live in the presence of the world, and choose to pursue the presence of the Lord at whatever cost. It is not optional, it is a matter of life and death. And yes, it is possible, even here, even now, if we will stop seeking the face of the world and set the Lord always before us.
The question is not: “are we able?” ... But: “Are we willing?”.
The question is not: “Are we worthy?” ...but: “Is He worth it?”

It's easy.  It’s a no-brainer!
You simply have to decide just HOW MUCH OF HIM that you really want!  There is ALWAYS MORE. It's up to YOU to determine how much you want to dive in, how much you are willing to put in: how much time you are willing to invest; how effort you are wiling to put in; how much of your schedule you are willing to sacrifice; how much of your heart you will open, and how much praise you will give Him!

Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  (Hebrews 12:1)

Surrender, sacrifice, and be Hungry!  Be willing to do whatever it takes! For those who are truly hungry for more of Him, take a look at the next step.
