Debbie Kalmbach is an author and speaker whose writing credits include a children's book, Corey's Daddy Drinks Too Much, Christian curriculum, contributions to a number of women's books, and articles in magazines such as Moody Monthly, Virtue, and Christian Parenting. She and her husband Randy, have two grown sons and live in Washington state.

As a Christian and an author, Deb considers it a privilege to offer encouragement and hope to others, especially those who are struggling with difficult relationships. If you’re struggling with a tough relationship; maybe your spouse, a teen, an adult child, a co-worker, or even a friend has challenged every ounce of your patience, then how do you cope? How do you love them in a God-honoring way and still keep your sanity?

Deb wondered the same thing when she was dealing with her husband Randy’s alcoholism. With God’s grace and power, and the loving support of friends, Deb found courage and strength to take small steps toward healing and hope.

In her book “Because I Said Forever”, Deb writes about her experiences, and the grace God has given her to live victorious rather than defeated. She has a heart to encourage others to the throne of God, where true power, love and healing is found and she would love to share that hope with you. Keep It Real...Real Hope for Real Life.

If you need encouragement in any of the areas mentioned above, please feel free to drop Deb an email , visit her website or her blog. You can also connect with Deb on Facebook.   Check out Deb’s book below also.  It’s an awesome testimony of faith and encouragement even if you don’t have the issue of alcoholism in your life or in those around you.

A recent study indicates that Christian marriages don't fail as often as secular marriages -- they fail more! Debbie Kalmbach, the wife of a recovering alcoholic, understands the longing to leave but offers Christian wives solid reasons to stay in a difficult marriage.

This is not a "how to save your marriage" but more a guidebook for wives on how to save their ability to love, to honor their commitment to their husbands, and to maintain their faith in God while in marriages that may never live up to their dreams. Debbie tackles tough questions such as "Why won't he go to counseling?" "Can I change him?" and "What do I do when I don't feel in love anymore?" with a warm, compassionate approach sure to encourage and inspire every struggling wife.
